Central Railway will reintroduce 14 air-conditioned local trains on Mumbai's Harbour Line from Republic Day (January 26, 2026), replacing non-AC services between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) and Panvel. The services aim to offer commuters a cooler, more comfortable ride, particularly on one of the city's most crowded suburban corridors, with runs scheduled Monday through Saturday.
