Actor-producer Vidnyan Mane, who alleged that Palaash Muchhal cheated him of ₹40 lakh, is cricketer and Palaash's ex-fiancée Smriti Mandhana's childhood friend. Mane was reportedly introduced to Palaash by Mandhana’s father. Mane alleged that Muchhal took money from him for a film's production but failed to return it after the project didn't materialise. Palaash called the allegations "baseless".
