Sunita Williams, who retired from NASA after 27 years of service, spent a total of 608 days in space across three missions, the second-highest cumulative total for any NASA astronaut. She's tied for sixth among Americans for longest single spaceflight at 286 days. Williams also completed nine spacewalks lasting 62 hours and six minutes, the most by any female astronaut.
