Ericsson on Thursday announced plans to cut roughly 1,600 jobs in Sweden. The telecom equipment group said the cuts are part of its global efforts to improve its cost position and operational efficiency. In 2023, the company announced plans to lay off 8,500 employees globally, or about 8% of its workforce, to cut costs.
