China has requested to consult with India at the World Trade Organization over the latter's tariffs on information and communications technology products and on its subsidies for solar industry. China claimed the tariffs give Indian industries "unfair competitive advantage, harm Chinese interests" and violate WTO rules. China urged India to honour its WTO commitments.
