Senior Congress leader Gurdeep Singh Sappal alleged his name and those of his family members were removed from the draft electoral roll released as part of the ongoing SIR exercise in Uttar Pradesh. He claimed the reason given was his relocation from Sahibabad to Noida. "There are crores of genuine voters like me...This is the truth of SIR!" he said.
