Fish sold for record-breaking ₹29 crore in Japan
A 243-kg bluefin tuna fetched a record 510.3 million yen (over ₹29 crore) at Tokyo's Toyosu fish market's first auction of 2026. The prized fish was bought by Sushi Zanmai operator Kiyomura Corp, led by Kiyoshi Kimura. The price shattered the previous record of 334 million yen set in 2019 by Kimura.
