Cartel de los Soles (Spanish for Cartel of the Suns), overseen by Maduro, is referred to as network of senior Venezuelan military/ government officials whom the US accuses of facilitating cocaine trafficking. 'Suns' refer to insignia (sun-shaped) worn on epaulettes of Venezuelan military uniforms. US labelled it as terrorist organisation in November. However, people doubt the existence of group.
