The Congress has accused the Madhya Pradesh government of negligence and administrative failure after eight people allegedly died after drinking contaminated water in Indore and Bhopal. Senior Congress leader PC Sharma said, "The families of the deceased must be given justice. We demand compensation of ₹1 crore and a government job for one member of each affected family."
