Zomato and Swiggy have increased the incentives for deliveries to ensure minimal disruptions as gig workers staged a nationwide strike on New Year's Eve. An Eternal spokesperson called it their "standard annual operating protocol during festive periods". Zomato has reportedly offered ₹120 to ₹150 per order during peak hours between 6 pm and 12 am on New Year's Eve.
