Suzie Bates, highest run-scorer in Women's T20I cricket history, to retire
New Zealand all-rounder Suzie Bates has announced her retirement from international cricket after the Women's T20 World Cup in England later this year. She is New Zealand's leading run-scorer in Women's ODIs with 5,964 runs and has scored 4,717 runs in Women's T20Is, the most by any player. Bates made her debut in 2006 in a Women's ODI against India.
