US President Donald Trump has ordered US Navy to "shoot and kill" any boat putting sea mines in the Strait of Hormuz amid US blockade. "No hesitation...Our mine 'sweepers' are clearing the Strait right now. I'm hereby ordering that activity to continue, but at a tripled up level," wrote Trump. He claimed 159 Iranian naval ships have been sunk.
