Veteran actress Mumtaz expressed her grief over the demolition of Rajesh Khanna's bungalow, Aashirwad, calling it "my hero's house". In a recent interview, she said, "It did hurt me...It was such a big landmark, it was like a monument." She added, "That was the dream, that it would become a museum after his passing...I don't know why it was sold."
