Congress' Manickam Tagore equated RSS with terrorist organisation Al-Qaeda. “RSS breeds and propagates hatred; both organisations have same ideological base, with only their structures being different,” he added. He said this after Congress leader Digvijaya Singh praised RSS's organisational strength saying that it's "much better than Congress". Singh's remark was also backed by Shashi Tharoor.
