Producer Naga Vamsi, distributor for 'War 2' in Telugu, addressed speculation claiming he faced major loss on the film. He said, "I bought it for ₹68 crore. It brought me...₹35-40 crore. Yash Raj Films...[refunded] ₹18 crore." He further explained, "I'd put forth this condition beforehand...they stuck to their word and returned this amount. So, I hardly faced any losses here."
