It originated from allegations that he used to demand 10% commission on government contracts, loans, and large-scale deals during his wife Benazir Bhutto's PM tenure. In 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge', Asif Ali Zarwari, character inspired by Zardari, was referred to as '10% Zarwari'.
