Veteran actress Mumtaz revealed that she was open to marrying actor Shammi Kapoor, but she refused because his father, Prithviraj Kapoor, believed that a daughter-in-law should not work after marriage. "When they said I couldn’t work, I felt I was still young and had ambitions. I wanted to work and achieve something, so I refused," Mumtaz added.
