Researchers link weight management drugs to improved mental health
Researchers analysing over 95,000 people found people taking diabetes and weight management drugs like Ozempic and Wegovy saw their mental health improve. The study published in The Lancet said 'semaglutide', the drugs' main ingredient, was linked to lower risk of depression, anxiety and addiction. Researchers added the drugs shouldn't be seen as a direct cure for depression or anxiety.
