Yoshua Bengio, known as one of the godfathers of AI, said he lies to AI chatbots to get "honest" answers. He explained that AI was "useless" at providing feedback on his research ideas because it was "sycophantic" and "would always say good things". Bengio then presented his work as someone else's to get more honest responses from AI.
