The man seen wrestling Baba Ramdev in a viral video is journalist Jaideep Karnik, from Indore, Madhya Pradesh. He comes from a well-known wrestling family. His father, Subhash Karnik, was a respected wrestler and wrestling writer, while his grandfather, Rangnath Karnik, was legendary wrestler. Ramdev was reportedly unaware of Karnik's wrestling background before the friendly bout at a live show.
