Eminent haematologist Dr KA Salim passed away at the age of 86 on Tuesday. A pioneer in haematology, Salim established the Department of Haematology at Kozhikode Medical College in Kerala and mentored generations of medical students across the state. His contributions to medical education were widely acclaimed, and he played a key role in shaping government medical colleges in Kerala.
