The Defence Acquisition Council reportedly approved a proposal to procure 114 Rafale jets as part of an acquisition plan worth ₹3.6 lakh crore. "For the first time, Rafale...will be manufactured outside France with significant levels of localisation. We are seeking at least 40-50%," Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh said. Over 90 jets will reportedly be built in India.
