Pakistan defence minister Khawaja Asif has admitted that the country doesn't properly honour the soldiers who are killed in action. He added that politicians don't attend the funerals of soldiers to achieve their petty goals. Notably, after the 1999 Kargil war, India had performed the last rites of Pakistani soldiers with full respect, after Islamabad had refused to claim them.
