Anthropic sued for ₹1 crore by India's 'Anthropic Software' over brand name

Karnataka-based Anthropic Software has sued US startup Anthropic, known for the Claude AI assistant, over the same name. The lawsuit claims Anthropic Software has used its name since 2017, and the US firm's entry into India has led to erosion of its brand identity. The Indian company has sought a permanent injunction and ₹1 crore in damages.
