The Supreme Court on Monday extended the deadline for the scrutiny of documents and objections in West Bengal under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), pushing it beyond the earlier cut-off of February 14. The top court noted that Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) had already written to Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) seeking additional time to complete the hearing process.
