Tripura Panchayats Win Top Honours at DDUPSVP & NDPSVP 2025 Awards 
In March 2026, Tripura achieved a major milestone as three of its Panchayats secured top honours at the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Panchayat Satat Vikas Puraskar (DDUPSVP) 2025 and the Nanaji Deshmukh Sarvottam Panchayat Satat Vikas Puraskar (NDPSVP) 2025, presented by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj (MoPR).
Award Winners:
District Rank: Sepahijala District Panchayat (DP) secured 1st rank in the Best DP category under NDPSVP.
Healthy Category: Kanchanbari GP (Unakoti district, Tripura) secured 1st rank under the Healthy Panchayat category of DDUPSVP.
Women Category: Baikunthapur GP (West Tripura district, Tripura) secured 3rd rank under the Women-Friendly Panchayat category of DDUPSVP.
Financial Incentives: Sepahijala District Panchayat will receive Rs 5 crore, Kanchanbari Gram Panchayat Rs 1 crore, and Baikunthapur Gram Panchayat Rs 50 lakh.
